About Us

Purpose: The ARN is a network of Alternative Route providers that shares effective practices, information, and messaging between programs and the Michigan Department of Education through collaborative engagement in an effort to:

• Educate the public about the need and impact of programs

• Make the teaching profession available via alternative pathways

• Recruit a diverse educator workforce

• Develop committed effective teachers in innovative ways

• Promote a positive image of our programs

• Advocate for policy and narrative change
